This iron tsuba is for tanto or short wakizashi.
Technic : Full pattern inlay (suemon ) silver varja .
Representation : It is a vajra or lightning that is engraved on this tsuba . It is the favorite weapon of Indra to destroy the enemies of Buddhism. It symbolizes as absolute weapon, the victory of the spirit on the passions . The vajra at a one spike stylized on this tsuba it's called in Japanese tokkosho. It symbolizes the vertical axis of the universe and the union of the material world with the spiritual world, it is the Unique Reality of the Dharma. The wearer seeks this harmony body and mind free of passions that "poison" his spirit.
